The Destruction

Scenario: You are sent on a mission to find life on Mars. You blast off and leave the atmosphere. Now Earth is almost a distant memory. You look out the window to say your goodbyes and see you laters, but you witness Mars (your destination) collides with Earth (Your home). Now you are left the knowledge that you are the only life known in the universe, but the question is for how long?
